Truckee leaders respond to violence in community

TRUCKEE, Calif. – On Friday, February 15, the Truckee Police Department responded to the area of Highway 89 South near the Crossroads Shopping Center for several reports of shots fired in the area.

“An investigation revealed an altercation had taken place prior to law enforcement’s arrival involving parties known to each other,” a Truckee Police Department Facebook post stated. “There were no injuries reported and no active threat to the public. Due to the on-going nature of the investigation, no further details can be released at this time.”
