All Aboard the Fashion Express! Amtrak’s “Trak Suit” May Be Back for Another Ride

Who says train travel can’t be stylish and comfy? Amtrak recently proved that point with their limited-edition “Trak Suit,” a fashion-forward ensemble that had passengers and fashionistas alike clamoring for a ticket.

This isn’t your average sweatsuit. Designed by Anastasiia Lukinskaia, a talented student from the New York School of Design, the “Trak Suit” is a blue and white microfiber fleece poly fabric set that’s as practical as it is chic.

It boasts a detachable sleep mask cleverly integrated into the hood, a modern color-block pant design, and a tastefully embroidered Amtrak logo. Selling for $279, this unique suit was available on Amtrak’s website for a mere four days, from January 29 to February 2.

The response? Absolutely overwhelming.

“Given the great response we are seeing from fans, we are evaluating an extension or second run,” an Amtrak representative shared. The rail line is even considering broader production, potentially offering various versions of the design at different price points to cater to an even wider audience.

The “Trak Suit” originally made its debut during New York Fashion Week last fall. Amtrak had tasked seven students from the New York School of Design to create two track suits to coincide with the launch of their NextGen Acela train in August 2025.

Jessica Davidson, Amtrak Vice President of Digital & Brand Management, noted the immediate appeal: “When we revealed the ‘Trak Suits collection during fashion week in New York, the response from our fans was incredible.”

For those of us who spend countless hours traversing the country by rail, the perfect blend of comfort and style is a dream come true. With the possibility of the “Trak Suit” making a return, future train journeys might just be a lot more fashionable.
