An 85-year-old man has died after a single-vehicle crash in south Charlotte, and detectives with the Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police Department’s Major Crash Investigation Unit are now trying to sort out what happened along a quiet stretch of Sharon View Road.
The collision happened on Nov. 17 in the 4200 block of Sharon View Road. Investigators say the driver was taken to a hospital with head injuries and was pronounced dead nearly two weeks later, on Nov. 29. CMPD is asking anyone who saw the crash or its aftermath to get in touch as the probe continues.
