LUTZ, Fla. – A massive column of smoke dominated the Lutz skyline Monday afternoon as Hillsborough County Fire Rescue battled a stubborn two-alarm blaze that pushed local firefighting resources to their limits.

The emergency began at approximately 4:34 PM when a flurry of 911 calls alerted dispatchers to a fire at 3615 Berger Road. First responders could see the dark smoke from miles away, prompting an immediate “working fire” declaration before they even turned onto the street.
