Drivers may notice pump prices ticking up a bit this Presidents’ Day as the national average inches upward. According to AAA, that average has increased by nearly three cents per gallon since last Monday and is now $2.93. Meanwhile, the averages at the state and local levels are holding steady. New York is averaging $2.99 at the pump, with is average going up by a fraction of a cent. Chautauqua County’s average remains at $3.14. One year ago, the national and statewide averages were $3.16 and $3.18, respectively.
