Get ready for a warming trend! Dry air is moving in on Monday, bringing plenty of sunshine and pushing temperatures significantly above what’s typical for mid-February. Expect highs that are 8-10 degrees warmer than normal as the dry pattern settles in.
Near-Record Warmth Expected Thursday and Friday
The warm-up continues throughout the week as high pressure systems keep the area under mild conditions. By Thursday and Friday, temperatures could approach or even tie record highs for this time of year. This will be an impressive stretch of warmth as we head toward the end of the week.
Rain Returns by Weekend
While the week ahead looks mostly dry, the pattern will change as we approach the weekend. A slight chance of showers could pop up as early as Thursday, though rain chances remain small.
By Friday into Saturday, shower chances increase noticeably as a weather system moves through the region. This incoming moisture will usher in cooler, more seasonable temperatures for next Sunday, bringing our warm spell to an end.
Looking Ahead
Enjoy the warmer weather while it lasts! The extended sunny conditions early in the week will give way to increasing cloud cover and precipitation chances by the weekend. By next week, temperatures are expected to return to normal seasonal levels…
