Measles scare hits Florida university; nearly 60 students quarantined amid outbreak

NAPLES, Fla. (CBS12) — Amid a rising measles outbreak that has left 57 students at Ave Maria University quarantined, Florida health officials are launching a vigorous campaign to provide free vaccinations in a bid to protect the community.

According to the DOH’s latest update, there have been 46 confirmed cases of measles across Collier County from January 1 to February 7.
