After 75 years of operations in North Carolina and Virginia, a Chesapeake, Va.-based precast manufacturer is establishing its first South Carolina operations in Laurens County.
Coastal Precast Systems, manufacturer of precast and prestressed concrete components for bridge and marine infrastructure, is investing about $9 million into a new facility which will create 70 new jobs, according to S.C. Commerce.
“Coastal Precast Systems is proud to establish our first South Carolina operation in Laurens County,” Paul Ogorchock, owner of Coastal Precast Systems, said in the release. “This facility will expand our ability to deliver high-quality precast and prestressed components for bridge and marine infrastructure across the Southeast. We appreciate the partnership of the state of South Carolina and Laurens County, and we look forward to creating skilled manufacturing jobs and becoming an active, long-term member of the community.”…
