Gulf Shores Launches New Beginner Hiking And Camping Program

Participants will visit Gulf State Park and Blakely State Park for hands-on training

Gulf Shores, Ala. — (OBA) — Outdoor enthusiasts in South Baldwin County have a new reason to lace up their hiking boots this spring. The City of Gulf Shores Recreation and Cultural Affairs Department is launching a specialized program for beginners. This initiative aims to teach residents how to navigate the Great Outdoors safely and with confidence. It is specifically designed for those who want to move from casual walking to serious backpacking.

The program is divided into two distinct series to help participants gradually strengthen their skills. Series 1 starts with a classroom session on March 12th at the Cultural Center.
