U.S. Army Corps of Engineers to host meetings for proposed Highway 22 extension

HORRY COUNTY, S.C. (WBTW) — The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers is hosting a series of community meetings for the proposed Highway 22 extension in Horry County.

“The purpose of these meetings is to inform the public of the project’s Preliminary Alternatives and proposed screening criteria being prepared as part of the Draft Environmental Impact Statement for the proposed SC-22 Extension,” officials said on social media.

Horry County voters approve RIDE IV

A pre-recorded presentation will be available online on Monday, Feb. 23, followed by a Monday, March 2 meeting at the James Frazier Community Center in the Bucksport area. Two more meetings will follow that, one on Tuesday, March 3, at the South Strand Recreation Center, and another on Wednesday, March 4 at the Horry County Government & Justice Center in Conway.
