A Florida-based restaurant chain that specializes in Southern-style meals is opening its first location in Ocala at the site of a Bob Evans that recently closed its doors.
Peach Valley Cafe is renovating the site at 3535 SW College Road/State Road 200. Formerly occupied by Bob Evans, which abruptly closed its doors last month, the site was sold just two weeks after the closure.
Marion County property records show that Holm Real Estate LLC purchased the building from National Retail Properties, LP for $2.9 million on January 30.
Founded in Winter Park in 2001, Peach Valley Cafe is operated by Eric Holm, who also owns 18 Golden Corral franchises in Central Florida. Holm started his career as a teenager bussing tables alongside his mother at the original Sonny’s BBQ in Gainesville…
