TOLEDO, Ohio (WTVG) – The University of Toledo College of Law is joining a statewide initiative that will give law students a chance to help clients seek clemency.
According to a university press release, UToledo will join the Ohio Governor’s Expedited Pardon Project. The project is designed to streamline the pardon application process for eligible Ohioans who have demonstrated rehabilitation.
As part of the program, the Ohio Department of Rehabilitation will grant UToledo $100,000 to fund a new clinical professor. The professor will work with students to assist clients in obtaining expedited pardons beginning this summer…
