FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WPTA) – Officials with the Indiana Department of Natural Resources are warning residents to watch out for thin ice as temperatures warm up.
Conservation officers tell 21Alive that if people are not careful, they could find themselves in a very dangerous situation.
Ice safety requires proper preparation
Wearing a float-coat and cleats, Conservation Officer Gannery Htoo made the rounds on Lake Everett in Allen County on Monday to check on people fishing on the ice.
