A 31-year-old Montgomery County man has been arrested and extradited to Connecticut following an investigation into alleged online communications with a juvenile, according to the City of Norwich Police Department.
Authorities say Anthony Guevara, 31, of Olney, Maryland, was arrested on Wednesday, January 28, 2026, by the Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office on an extraditable arrest warrant issued by the New London Superior Court in Connecticut. The warrant stemmed from an investigation conducted by the Norwich Police Department Detective Division into alleged sexually explicit online communications between Guevara and a juvenile victim.
Police say Guevara waived extradition to the State of Connecticut. On Thursday, February 12, 2026, members of the Norwich Police Department Detective Division traveled to Maryland and took custody of Guevara at the Montgomery County Detention Center in Rockville.
