NORTH PLATTE, Neb. (KNOP) – The Nebraska School Activities Association has recognized 28 outstanding coaches with its 2025-2026 Champions for Coaches Award, an annual honor celebrating educators who demonstrate exceptional dedication to their students, schools and communities.
Among the honorees is Brittany McDaniel of North Platte, recognized for Play Production. Other regional honorees include Lisa Freeburg of Gering for Girls Cross Country, Nick Broz of Cozad for Boys Basketball, Mackenzie Ivie of Sidney for Speech, Matt Wiemers of McCook for Girls Tennis, and Bailey Swanson of Hemingford for Unified Track and Field.
