Cult favorite bakery Paris Baguette is bringing its je ne sais quoi to San Antonio’s North Side. The wildly popular South Korean sweets shop is building a new cafe at 5518 N. 1604 W. in the Landmark North shopping center.
Although the franchise doesn’t yet have the footprint of giants like Starbucks, it has rapidly grown to be an international phenomenon with more than 4,000 locations. The chain made its U.S. debut in Los Angeles in 2005, but only recently made inroads in San Antonio with the opening of its first cafe by downtown’s Gunter Hotel in December 2025.
Unlike most bakery chains, like La Madeleine or local favorite La Pandería, Paris Baguette focuses less on a café environment. The downtown shop is largely self-serve, allowing customers to load up boxes from stocked display cases…
