Ireton man arrested for OWI by Larchwood

LARCHWOOD—A 36-year-old rural Ireton man was arrested about 2:15 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 11, near Larchwood on charges of first-offense operating while under the influence, possession of an open container of alcohol, driving on the wrong side of a two-way highway, no valid driver’s license and failure to provide proof of vehicle liability insurance.

The arrest of Omar Millan Bustos of Ireton stemmed from a report of a drunk driver leaving Grand Falls Casino & Golf Resort northwest of Larchwood driving a 2011 Honda Accord, according to the Iowa State Patrol.

A state trooper met the vehicle driving partially in his lane and initiated a stop near the intersection of 120th Street and Chestnut Avenue about a mile north of Larchwood…
