Saint Alphonsus announces plans to more than double size of Nampa hospital

NAMPA, Idaho (CBS2) — Saint Alphonsus Health System announced plans to more than double the size of its Nampa hospital and construct a new 80,000-square-foot medical complex in North Meridian.

A recent news release says that with rising regional strain across the health care ecosystem, the Nampa hospital expansion will relieve pressure by expanding capacity, creating more access to inpatient and critical care and addressing beds per capita needs.

The expansion will add:

  • Approximately 254,000 square feet of new space, including a new seven-story tower and a two-story vertical expansion of the existing hospital located at 4300 E. Flamingo Ave.
  • 64 new medical/surgical and Intensive Care Unit beds.
  • Shell space for future growth and long-term community health.

Preparations have already begun at the Nampa hospital to relocate utilities to prepare the site for the upcoming construction…
