ANN ARBOR, MI — Another Ann Arbor City Council member has announced she won’t seek reelection this year and will be stepping down at the end of her term in November.
Council Member Ayesha Ghazi Edwin, D-3rd Ward, made the announcement in a statement Tuesday, Feb. 17, saying the decision comes after deep reflection.
“Serving Ward 3 has been one of the greatest honors of my life,” she said. “Together, we strengthened civil liberties, advanced workers’ rights, expanded protections for immigrant residents, embedded disability inclusion into city government, invested in housing stability, food access and youth programming, and held powerful systems accountable.”…
