On January 14, a North Greenbush resident called police stating they had been the victim of fraud. They alleged that Pratt, who the person was familiar with, had reportedly signed the title of the victim’s vehicle into the name of a business, stripping the resident of ownership.
The resulting investigation led to Pratt being taken into custody by the Washington County Sheriff’s Office on February 8 before being turned over to NGPD. He was held at the Rensselaer County Jail without bail due to a previous felony conviction after being arranged at North Greenbush Town Court. North Greenbush Police stated that additional charges may be filed as the investigation remains ongoing.
