ALBANY, N.Y. — For consumers in Top 100 retailer Old Brick Furniture & Mattress‘ home market, a change in signage hasn’t changed their shopping patterns.
The Albany, N.Y.-based retailer recently acquired a pair of former Metro Mattress locations at 41 Wolf Road in Albany and at 316 9W in neighboring Glenmont, N.Y., and is working on converting them into standalone Old Brick Mattress stores. Despite not being open yet, those locations are still drawing shoppers. That bodes well for business when the stores open in March.
“We’ve been doing construction and people have been coming in thinking we’re still open,” Michael Fiacco, owner and president of Old Brick, told Furniture Today. “We’re going to stumble into business, and we’re already advertising a lot in this market.”
