Goose Creek Man Arrested After Nearly Hitting Deputy Saving Dog

BERKELEY COUNTY, S.C. — A Goose Creek man is facing several charges after deputies say he nearly struck a Berkeley County deputy, resisted arrest, and later was linked to a road rage incident involving a vehicle ramming.

Berkeley County Sheriff Duane Lewis announced Monday that William Everett Ford, 62, of Indigo Lane, was arrested Sunday night following a traffic stop on College Park Road. Ford is charged with failure to yield to emergency vehicles, assault on law enforcement while resisting arrest, and two counts of first-degree assault and battery.
