A chaotic scene happened Sunday night into Monday morning in Phenix City, when a vehicle caught on fire down the street from an active crime scene.
The vehicle caught on fire around 11:50 p.m. on Sunday, Feb. 15, 2026, in the 100 block of 17th Avenue South, as officers were investigating a shooting less than 500 feet away.
