CLARK COUNTY, Ky. (WKYT) – A new joint police task force made its first arrest this weekend in Clark County.
The Special Response Team combines forces from the Winchester Police Department and Clark County Sheriff’s Office. Fifteen hand-picked officers volunteered from both agencies for the team that has been years in the making.
“There’s no competition here. Two different agencies but one team,” said Clark County Sheriff Berl Perdue.
This weekend the team was deployed for the first time at a home on Botts Court. Officers arrested Michael Hicks on multiple charges. Officials said Hicks had not cooperated with officers before…
