MOBILE, Ala. (WKRG) — Revelers are taking a ride on the Amtrak Mardi Gras Service to see the good times roll in Mobile, and for one New Orleans couple, they came over for their first-time Port City Mardi Gras experience.
Destin crash leaves multiple people hospitalized
After stepping off the Amtrak Mardi Gras Service in Mobile from New Orleans last Friday, Lynzell and Nettie Vaughan wasted no time jumping into their first Mobile parade, the Crewe of Columbus and the Krewe de Secondline.
“From what we’ve seen today, it’s great. It’s wonderful. We love it,” the Vaughans said.
If you couldn’t spot them along the crowded barricades, that’s because they chose to enjoy the parades from a bit farther back. The couple said they have their own way of doing Mardi Gras at home in New Orleans…
