MOBILE, Ala. (WALA) – Fat Monday brought a day full of revelry and parades as King Felix III arrived in downtown Mobile to kick off Lundi Gras celebrations.
King Felix and his knights arrived by boat at Cooper Riverside Park this morning. Mayor Spiro Cheriogotis presented King Felix with a key to the city, starting the king’s reign of Mardi Gras “mis-rule” through Fat Tuesday.
Royal procession through downtown
After his arrival, King Felix and his knights paraded through downtown Mobile. He arrived in royal fashion throwing to his loyal subjects down Government Street.
