Natural gas company investigating ‘issues’ outside Nashville high school

NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WSMV) – Fire officials were dispatched to a Metro Nashville Public Schools campus Monday morning to investigate a “gas-like odor,” according to a district spokesperson.

Dispatch records showed multiple fire units were sent to John Overton High School just before 8 a.m. and remained there for about an hour.

An MNPS spokesperson said Piedmont Natural Gas is “working on some issues outside of the building.”…
