A vehicle pursuit that started with an attempted traffic stop in Vacaville ended in Vallejo with five people detained and several loaded guns off the street, according to police. Officers said a black Toyota Camry ran into a dead end on the 200 block of Wilson Avenue, where all the occupants bailed out on foot. Vallejo officers and assisting units quickly contained the area, tracking people into nearby yards and under parked cars. No residents or officers were reported hurt.
How the chase unfolded
According to FOX40, Vacaville police first tried to stop the black Toyota Camry near Sacramento and Alabama streets when the driver refused to pull over. That refusal turned into a pursuit that stretched into Vallejo, ending only when the Camry reached a dead end on Wilson Avenue and the occupants scattered in different directions. Officers from both departments then set up a perimeter and launched a coordinated foot search.

The Vallejo Police Department reported that officers ultimately found people hiding under parked vehicles, inside a full dumpster, and in nearby yards before detaining them. Police said the Camry itself was not reported stolen and was towed from the scene. Officials credited the quick interagency teamwork with keeping the situation contained and under control.
Guns recovered and evidence
Investigators recovered three loaded firearms while combing through the area. One gun was found in a bag tossed aside during the foot chase, another turned up along the route the suspects ran near the abandoned Camry, and a third was discovered in a purse carried by one of the fleeing individuals, FOX40 reported. Police said all three firearms were booked into evidence as detectives processed the scene. No injuries to officers or bystanders were reported.
