New pedestrian crossing coming soon to downtown Woodstock

The construction of the Elm Street Pedestrian Crossing in downtown Woodstock is set to begin in March, the city announced.

The first phase of the project includes the construction of a 12-foot-wide pedestrian crossing at the intersection of Main Street and Elm Street. Upon completion of the crossing, a signal and mast arm over Main Street will be finalized within the next three to four months, according to the city.
