Broussard and Youngsville, LA (February 16, 2026) — Now that the Broussard‑Youngsville Connector has been open since June 2025, local officials and area drivers are assessing how the long‑planned roadway is performing as a new link between the two fast‑growing cities.
The connector, which links West Fairfield Road in Broussard to Youngsville Highway, was the product of a joint initiative between the City of Broussard and the City of Youngsville first announced in October 2022. Its purpose has always been to provide a more direct route between the communities and to help with traffic flow as both cities continue expanding.
When the project was announced in late 2022, leaders from both cities described it as a necessary response to rapid population growth and increasing traffic demands.
