‘We’ve already taken significant steps’: Green Bay School District facing up to $32M deficit

GREEN BAY, Wis. — A potential financial crisis is brewing in the city of Green Bay. The city’s public school district is facing the prospect of a multi-million dollar budget deficit.

School district leaders announced last week that they are facing up to a $5 million deficit for next year and between a $24 to $32 million deficit in the 2027-28 school year.
