‘A local favorite everyone loves’: Malasada Day is back

HONOLULU (KHON2) — Soft, chewy, delicious and usually powdered with sugar — Feb. 17 marks the date to celebrate Malasada Day! For some, Fat Tuesday or Shrove Tuesday is the last day to indulge but in Hawaiʻi, it’s part of a local tradition to enjoy malasadas.

As usual, Damien Memorial School in Kalihi will bake hundreds fresh as part of its annual fundraiser.
