Homicide investigation launched after Dundalk burglary victim dies from injuries

DUNDALK, MD—Baltimore County detectives have officially reclassified a January burglary investigation as a homicide following the death of a 51-year-old Dundalk man.

The victim, identified as Christopher Stafford, passed away on February 13, exactly one month after he was found unresponsive in his home.

Timeline of the Incident

The investigation began on January 13, at approximately 2:35 p.m., when officers from the Dundalk Precinct (Precinct 12) responded to a reported burglary in the 2000 block of Kelmore Road.

Upon arrival, officers discovered Stafford suffering from significant trauma to his upper body. He was rushed to a local hospital, where he remained for four weeks before succumbing to his injuries.
