CHARLESTON, S.C. (Palmetto Life) — Hallie Hill Animal Sanctuary is seeking forever homes for three remaining puppies from a group of seven found abandoned on a roadside in freezing temperatures.
Mike Gibbons, Director of Development at Hallie Hill, said the puppies were discovered on a Saturday evening after the sanctuary had closed. “Somebody dropped seven puppies off on the side of the road right near us,” Gibbons said. “It was 30 something degree weather.”
One puppy was struck by a car and did not survive. Staff and community members rescued the remaining six puppies, bringing them inside for care and treatment.
