Sheriff Frankie Gray and Town of Dover Police Chief Scott Bickford are teaming up to raise money for Court Appointed Special Advocates (CASA). Gray and Bickford will be sitting on top of the Stewart County Courthouse Friday, February 13. until they reach their goal of $5k. The Stewart County CASA program assists Stewart County children, who have often faced abuse or neglect and are in foster care, residential placement, group homes or kinship homes. Advocates for CASA are highly trained and screened volunteers to advocate for the best interest of the child with the goal of getting the children into a safe, permanent home.
