SACRAMENTO COUNTY, CA (MPG) – Sacramento County Public Health (SCPH) joins the California Department of Public Health (CDPH) in urging residents to check their immunization status and get vaccinated against measles after local health departments have notified the state of multiple recent cases of measles.
“Even though we haven’t seen local cases, the rise in cases in other counties and recent exposures at large public venues remind us how easily this dangerous virus can spread,” said Dr. Olivia Kasirye, Sacramento County Public Health Officer. “I urge everyone to check their vaccination status, especially before traveling or attending crowded events.
