FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WPTA) – The 50s and 60s hold on for now… but changes are ahead!
Tuesday: Patchy Fog Clears, Mostly Cloudy Skies
Patchy fog is possible Tuesday morning, mainly in rural areas, but it won’t be as widespread or stubborn as Monday’s fog. Any fog patches will mix out within an hour or so after sunrise.
Expect mostly cloudy skies throughout the day with highs reaching the mid 50s across the region.
Wednesday: Wet Start, Afternoon Clearing
Rain showers will move in Tuesday night and continue with on-and-off rain through the early part of Wednesday. While Wednesday will start wet, it won’t be a total washout — conditions should dry up as the afternoon progresses.
Skies will begin clearing Wednesday afternoon, bringing eventual sunshine and mild highs in the mid 60s. Winds will be breezy out of the southwest, gusting up to 30 mph.
Late Thursday Into Friday: Rain and Thunderstorms
An additional round of rain, along with the chance for thunderstorms, will move in late Thursday evening and continue through the night. This system will mark a shift in the weather pattern.
Weekend and Beyond: Cold Air Arrives
Temperatures will drop dramatically following Thursday night’s rain, with highs falling into the 30s and 40s as we head into the weekend. The mild pattern will be replaced by much colder air…
