Man opens fire in Clemson parking garage, arrested for attempted murder

A man was arrested following a shooting in downtown Clemson in the early morning hours of Feb. 13.

Officers said that at around 2 a.m., 23-year-old Gavin Lamar Tukes opened fire in the Keith St. parking garage following an altercation. He allegedly grabbed a 9mm handgun from a vehicle and fired at least 14 rounds at a group of people attempting to flee.

No injuries were reported from the incident, as gunfire struck a concrete wall, nearly missing the door where individuals were trying to escape…
