ANOTHER round of monthly checks worth up to $1,200 will soon go out to Americans from a new program following a “cash plus” model.
The guaranteed income initiative is intended to help vulnerable Americans, handing out unconditional payments and offering up support services.
Dubbed Cash with Care, the guaranteed income program is in the process of distributing $1,200 checks each month for nine months to participants as well as a $5,000 lump sum payment.
The money is going towards helping youth experiencing homelessness in New York City, with 60 New Yorkers age 18 to 24 who live in the non-profit service and shelter Covenant House receiving a chunk of the $1.5 million pot…
