Miami Beach condo property manager arrested in alleged kickback scheme: State Attorney

A Miami Beach condominium property manager and a maintenance worker are facing charges in an alleged kickback scheme involving hundreds of thousands of dollars, authorities said.

Francisco Obispo, 38, is facing 18 counts of receiving a kickback and one count of organized scheme to defraud, while Jose Luis Hernandez-Aguiar, 52, is charged with organized scheme to defraud, an arrest warrant said.

According to the warrant, the allegations involve the Euclid East Condominium at 1545 Euclid Avenue in the Flamingo-Lummus neighborhood of Miami Beach.

The condo is managed by a company that assigned Obispo to be the property manager about two years ago, while Hernandez was paid by the company to perform general maintenance for the condo, the warrant said…
