LANSING, Mich. (WLNS) — A shooting near downtown Lansing sent one man to a hospital Monday afternoon, police tell 6 News. No one has been taken into custody at this time.
A spokesperson for the Lansing Police Department tells 6 News officers were called to the area of Chestnut and Hillsdale streets at around 3:31 p.m.
When officers arrived, they found a man in his early 30s who was shot in the foot. He was taken to the hospital with what police describe as “non-life-threatening injuries.” Police say the accused shooter and the victim knew each other and this was an isolated incident with no danger to the public.
6 News crew arrived on the scene at around 3:45 p.m. and saw at least seven Lansing Police Department vehicles on scene, including a K-9 unit. By then, police had set up a perimeter around Pete’s Hy-Grade Market, located at the corner of Chestnut and Hillsdale…
