(WHTM) — Two people were charged after allegedly smuggling drugs via legal mail into Pennsylvania prisons, the Pennsylvania Department of Corrections announced.
According to PADOC, Devin Walker, 34, and Dejah Schoolfield, 29, of Philadelphia, are accused of using falsified legal credentials to send drug‑saturated paper into prisons.
PADOC says the investigation was initiated in May 2024 after security staff intercepted legal mail that was sent to an inmate who was suspected of smuggling drugs. The envelope was allegedly marked with an Attorney Control Number (ACN) and a Time Code belonging to Thompson Law Office, P.C., and one of seven parcels sent to prisoners across multiple Pennsylvania prisons…
