Seneca deputies’ quick action credited with saving driver

A crash in Fayette left a Webster man hurt — and deputies scrambling to stop heavy bleeding at the scene.

Michael Montanez-Sanchez of Webster lost control of his vehicle while heading north on State Route 96 and struck a utility pole, according to the Seneca County Sheriff’s Office.

Sheriff Tim Thompson said deputies responded to the personal injury crash around 3:48 p.m. Feb. 11 in the Town of Fayette.

Deputies found Montanez-Sanchez with a lower extremity injury. They treated him on scene and applied a tourniquet to control the bleeding…
