Ahead of the summer shutdown of I-65 in parts of Louisville, neighbors are already feeling the impact of construction

LOUISVILLE, Ky. — If you take the Watterson Expressway or I-65 in Louisville to get around, there’s construction happening on the highways that may affect late-night and early-morning drives.

This work comes ahead of a project that’s going to impact anyone who drives through Louisville on I-65.

In June and July, I-65 between I-264 (Watterson Expressway) and Muhammad Ali Boulevard will be closed while crews rehabilitate bridges and pavement. Over the course of the I-65 Central Corridor Project, at least nine bridges in Louisville will be replaced or rehabilitated…
