Driver charged after Wilmington police officer injured in overnight crash

WILMINGTON, NC (WWAY) — A Wilmington police officer was injured in a crash early Monday morning, and a Wilmington man is now facing felony charges, according to the North Carolina State Highway Patrol.

According to the Highway Patrol, 36-year-old Clifford Robert Haynes was traveling east on Grace Street when he failed to stop at a red light.
