TAMPA, Fla. – Drivers in South Tampa will need to adjust their morning commute starting today as a stretch of North Himes Avenue undergoes significant lane closures. Beginning at 9 a.m. on Tuesday, February 17, city crews are returning to the area between West North B Street and West Gray Street to finalize roadwork following a previous water main repair.
The project is expected to impact both northbound lanes and the adjacent sidewalk. While the initial water line fix is complete, the Tampa Water Department noted that this phase focuses on a “permanent restoration” of the roadway to ensure the surface is safe and level for long-term use.
