BRFD: Hotel fire sparked after occupant fell asleep while smoking

BATON ROUGE, La. (Louisiana First) — A fire at a hotel was ruled accidental after a person staying there told fire investigators they fell asleep while smoking.

Crews with the Baton Rouge Fire Department responded to Trinity House, LLC in the 2500 block of Monte Sano Avenue around 2:30 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 17.
