HOUSTON — A mother says things aren’t adding up in the death of her 17-year-old daughter, who was shot and killed on Valentine’s Day last weekend.
Mariah Alatorre’s mother said her daughter was supposed to be celebrating her upcoming graduation, but instead, now she’s planning a funeral. Police said Mariah was shot at a house party on Dagg Road in Brookside Village, just south of Beltway 8 between SH 2888 and Highway 35 in the Pearland area.
But for reasons no one has explained, her friends drove her nearly 40 miles north to an urgent care off FM 1960 before she was transferred to HCA Houston Northwest, where she died…
