SHREVEPORT, La. (KTAL/KMSS) — A 14-year-old student was apprehended at Northwood High School following a gun threat investigation.
Two East Texas officers shot during violent warrant operation
The incident unfolded on February 17, 2026, after Deputy Billy Nunnery, the School Resource Officer, was alerted to an alleged alarming claim made by the student.
Deputy Nunnery quickly located the student and conducted a thorough search, but found no weapons on him. After further investigation, police say the student’s comment stemmed from frustration with a violation policy, and the statement about being armed was intended as a misguided joke.
