WICHITA, Kan. (KSNW) — Rainbows United has been a staple in Wichita and south-central Kansas since opening in the mid-1970s, and it relies heavily on volunteers.
The nonprofit — the subject of February’s Community Champions series — provides inclusive therapies, early intervention, education and other resources to help children with developmental challenges and special needs reach their full potential.
While KSN was visiting the facility, so were members of the Wichita Heights Educators Rising Club. It gives students pursuing careers in education a hands-on experience in the classroom.
